Traditional Vs self-publishing

Nearly every writer wants a traditionally published novel or book. It’s considered an achievement of recognition for their skill and the years of effort they have put in. However, many self-published authors have succeeded too. Then there are the traditional authors that, with a publishing house, agent, and ghostwriters, have a top selling book but their input has been bare to minimal. My opinion is to write without either goal until one or the other happens. After all, you need the finished work before either traditional or self-publishing is possible. Some great self-published writers never get a traditional deal because there is always that element of being discovered. Some top selling authors with the traditional machine behind them can’t even ……….. well.
