Copyright law grants the creator of an original piece of work exclusive rights to its use and distribution. That means no one can reproduce or sell my self-published books, art, or photography in any form, without my explicit permission.
Disclaimer
I am always conscious of whether my work might infringe on the copyright of another person’s material: images, graphics, quotes, etc. To use any part of another person’s work, it must either be in the public domain or need permission (a licence) from the copyright owner. I have never and I will never intentionally breach another person’s copyright.
Defamation
None of my work contains a reference to any real, living person without their permission. Any unintentional resemblance is coincidental.
