Charlie leaves his strenuous life on modern Earth by entering a portal to an epic fantasy world, which works like a role-playing game. In a pocket dungeon between astral and physical planes, he gains a unique class—Astral Beast Master—and transforms into a new race, No-Longer-Human, merging the dungeon creators’ former classes. After completing the dungeon, Charlie exits with a pet, an astral familiar and an AI companion. He faces beasts, monsters and challenges, as dungeons offer dangerous training grounds. Charlie and his group join the Adventurers’ Society, offering challenging undertakings. However, things are not as they appear, since he is under surveillance through the System’s code.
